aka Wetland sedge Wetland Native. This sedge is found throughout New Zealand in forests, scrub and swampy areas. Great to use to absorb water around housing that have high water tables. Can be grown in quite shady areas, under trees, or in an open situation, but it requires a moist soil and cool root zone. Evergreen. It has an attractive arching habit. The ribbed leaves are a fresh bright green and contrast with the very dark seed heads. Habit: Grass weeping. Leaves: Evergreen, Grey Green.
