Description

aka Raspberry Red This variety has firm quality berries with a lovely flavour. The berries will change colour post harvest. Ripe from Autumn -suitable to prune for a second harvest. A strong grower that doesn't have to be supported. Plant in a sunny spot. Deciduous. Raspberries fruit on 2nd year 'canes' i.e. older wood. They love well rotted organic matter and will fruit best when given a well balanced fertiliser in early spring. -after autumn fruiting cut back the cane 1/3, and you can have a 2nd fruiting in spring. Suitable for warmer areas including Auckland/Northland Flower colour: White. Habit: Shrub Tall. Leaves: Deciduous, Green.
